Croissants:

Here we are for the first baking post on this blog. Today, we are going to talk about croissants. Where do they come from? How are they made? The best recipe? All the answers of these questions are in this article!

Where do they come from?:
Croissants are well known all over the world, you can find them in pretty every country. in some, they taste better than in other one, but where do they really come from? this crunchy and tasty pastry comes from France. they have been created years ago, in the 13th century.
You can find them in different place, but they are usually  recreated differently. In Italia, for example, they usually put something inside. It's often some fruity jam, or some hazelnuts chocolate.

How are they made?:
to make some Croissant, you must realize a dough quite similar as a "pate feuilleter". It's a quite difficult task because you have to fold the paste once rolled up with butter between each fold. This should be done in a room below 20 degrees. Once the paste is ready, you usually need to leave it for a good 2 hours.
To give this moon shape to the dough, you need to realize some triangle and rolle them, once the paste rolled.

The best recipe?:
Here is a recipe by Gemma, it's a quite easy one to do. Hope you'll enjoy it!
